The young singer believed that she wasn’t the ideal fit for the role and felt that Alessandro Michele, the artistic director of Gucci, might have made an error in choosing her. However, after some consideration, Miley realized that Alessandro saw a side of her that she had not recognized before – a delicate, dreamy, and gentle aspect that made her perfect for the campaign.

During an interview with Interview magazine, Miley recollected wearing glasses, a large Gucci hat, and all black while expressing her uncertainties to Alessandro. She recounted saying, “I always have a gut feeling when something is right for me, and honestly, I don’t think I’m the right person for this. I believe you may have made a mistake.”
Furthermore, Miley expressed, “I don’t believe that I embody the Flora Fantasy. I feel like I’m too intense for it.”
Alessandro witnessed a side of me that I couldn’t see – one that was soft, vulnerable, and whimsical, Miley shared. In contrast, Miley now sees their partnership as a way to escape from the darkness brought on by the pandemic and other issues. The Flora Fantasy provided a much-needed break from all the heaviness and darkness surrounding them during the pandemic, protests, and political turmoil. It was truly an escape for Miley at that time, and she believes it will provide the same for others.
According to her perspective, the singer warned Alessandro about hiring her. In an Interview magazine, she mentioned wearing black with a Gucci hat and glasses while expressing her doubts. She conveyed, “I have a gut feeling when something is a good fit for me, and I don’t believe I’m the right choice. I believe you made an error.”
Fond memories: Miley shared that the fragrance brings back precious memories of her grandmother who has passed away. She expressed, “The Flora Fantasy holds a special place in my heart because it reminds me of when I spoke with Alessandro in October 2020, shortly after my grandmother’s passing.”
Miley shared that her late grandmother was known for her love of floral scents, with everything from her wallpaper to her couch adorned in flowers. The perfume serves as a tribute to her grandmother, bringing back memories and emotions. She mentioned how discussing the Flora Fantasy with Alessandro in October 2020 brought back memories of her grandmother. In her final days, a whiff of flowers could light up her grandmother’s face, showing the significance of floral scents in their lives.
During a recent visit to Texas, she showcased her unique fashion sense. In a social media post, she humorously noted that everything seems to be larger in Texas, including her hair.
Personally, when I use gardenia, I don’t just experience it on a physical level. It’s more like a feeling of my grandmother’s presence surrounding me, overwhelming yet comforting.
